"Summer is the time when one sheds one's tensions with one's clothes, and the right kind of day is jeweled balm for the battered spirit.
A few of those days and you can become drunk with the belief that all's right with the world."
~Ada Louise Huxtable

I'd tell you, but I'd have to…
I promise, I was going to tell you exactly how to find what is in my opinion Bali's most pristine white sand beach…
But, a little mystery goes a long way and I think you'll have fun trying to find this very special place on your own.
Hint: Start by exploring the island's most southern tip and be prepared for a really good workout.

Not Your Mother's Natural Resource
We were invited up to Green School a few weeks ago to attend a party given by some of the teachers at their on-campus bamboo housing community.
Thanks to John Hardy, all of the buildings at Green School are architectural wonders constructed mostly of bamboo - circular in design representing the spiral or circle of life.
Not only is bamboo architecture making a modern splash on Bali's international creative scene, bamboo furniture has also come a long way since the large, elephant bamboo style beds and couches that were coming out of Bali in droves during the nineties.
I fell in love with a John Hardy chair that I could have sworn had been flown in from a modern designer in Denmark - sleek curved lines and that signature clean Danish look.
Bamboo is definitely on our radar here at Diamond Head Road - design inspiration for 2011?
