About DHR
Our Mission & Philosophy

Diamond Head Road's mission is to bring Hawaii design to a whole new luxury level: incorporating art forms and images that we saw in the early 1900s Hawaii painters that can also be used in high style textile design as well.
Our philosophy is to provide clients with the absolute best quality on the market, yet with low maintenance care that doesn't infringe on today's super charged schedules.
Diamond Head Road in the Community
Diamond Head Road donates to local charitable organizations throughout the state of Hawaii. Currently, we support the following charities:
- The Outdoor Circle
- Hanahouoli School
- North Hawaii Hospice
- Family Support Services of West Hawaii
- Punahou School Financial Aid Program
As we grow, we look forward to partnering with more charitable projects and are always open to suggestions! If you would like to request a donation for your fundraiser or silent auction, please feel free to contact us.
Designer Bio
Founder, Stacy Porteus, is a native of Oahu. She launched Diamond Head Road Home & Body in early 2007 after researching and sourcing the best materials and patterns. She collaborates with her husband, David, who has a background in graphic design. Porteus attended Punahou School on Oahu and Purdue University in Indiana where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing.
"Growing up in Hawaii I've always used pareos (sarongs) as beach cover-ups," said Porteus. "But I felt the traditional wraps dominating the market didn't offer the style and sumptuousness that allowed them to be more versatile and go from beach to bistro in a climate or setting away from the beach. Now I find I can't travel without one in my carry-on bag."
Stacy and David are inspired by the culture and beauty of lifestyles shared between the Big Island of Hawaii and Bali, Indonesia along with their two young sons, Stanley and Bristow.
